Re: Will Froyo 2.2 require re-root?
The way I figure it, by the time the official comes out, the chefs will tear it apart and we can have a rom without having to reroot...

Re: Will Froyo 2.2 require re-root?
but to tear it apart, wouldnt it need to be re-rooted? And if so, is the procedure the same? Or do they have to start at square one?

Re: Will Froyo 2.2 require re-root?
Well is the upgrade just a add on patch type of thing ? The root might still hold
But if it requires a whole flash procedure, I don't think it would. Either way, it will be rooted. No doubt! |

Too early to say.. the new root procedure (complement) was revealed yesterday.. give it some time and we'll see.

Re: Will Froyo 2.2 require re-root?
im noticing a trend here---so far google is slowly baking in alot of features that rooters are making a must on their phones, wouldnt it be AWESOME if the coders of android worked in every tweak and twist that we all have made a regular thing in the custom ROMS? i have a dream.......that one day......we will not have to be seperated by the name of our ROM but we will be able to lay down our rooting tactics.....and live together under one...great...stock...ROM...(with the option to remove bloatware ofcourse lol)
