Yeah, I started a thread about this last week. It's a combination issue between hotmail, and the stock mail app. Hotmail still uses POP3 protocol which is designed for pull only. However a good app should be able to look at the last # emails or # days and make sure it's synced up. I finally used this as an excuse to switch to gmail as my primary email. I now have my gmail pulling emails from hotmail. I will still keep my hotmail because I've had it for nearly 15 years. Unlike the other poster, I think gmail is awesome.

Basically checks every hour or so. You can go into the settings and have it check now. You can have it delete the received messages or leave them there in your hotmail when it is received. It will import everything from your hotmail account. It may take several hours to get everything, but it does it all in the background. You can also send email using your hotmail address from gmail. Since it only checks every hour I am starting to use gmail as my primary, but I will still get anything that comes to my hotmail eventually. |
