Re: How many will return their EVO?
Why so negitive? You think the Evo 4G is a crappy phone because of the issue it had coming out of the gate? You do relize that the Evo has had 3 revisions since release right? Most of the issues have been resolved...the screen cracking is mostly due to fumbled droppings of the phone or having in persons pocket...not due to poor quality...The phone was never intended for pocket use...and if someone say it was, call HTC and ask them that question...they will probably laugh at you.
The 4G issue will get better over time, your service issues...are small compared to your every day life use of the phone...you probably work or go to school in better reception areas. Go to Sprint, return your phone...you'll be the one with the $50 POS that everyone will be laughing at... |

Re: How many will return their EVO?
You had solid concerns at start then just turned into a rant.if your looking for a phone to be perfect upon release your going to be let down quite a few times.10 bucks extra a month is still cheaper them most carriers.4g is new give it time, if your that unhappy drop your evo back at sprint and get an iphone 4.I and alot other are loving our evos.don't keep it if you don't like it and come here ranting when you get upset with it.

Re: How many will return their EVO?
yeah coming from WM I am ecstatic. The phone is slick and beautiful. I'll pocket carry this phone till I bust a screen then I'll replace it. I don't really worry about it. I'm not gonna look like a moron with a belt holster on my phone. I also don't drop my phone often(knock on wood). I've managed to go 5 years w/o breaking a phone.

Re: How many will return their EVO?
Compared to all my winmo ppc's this thing rocks!! Fast, clean and now fully rooted and running with OMJ v1.3.
I am on Sprint. So if I took it back what else would I get in exchange. I loved my tp2 keyboard. But swype kinda helps with that. |

Re: How many will return their EVO?
Thinking about it, i traded up from the pre for more battery life but ended up in a worse situation.
I used my upgrade and i'm back under contract for the first time in 3 years. Reconsidering if that was worth it. |

Anyway, even with the issues we have seen out of the gate, I think the EVO is still an awsome device and I can't imagine going to anything else right now. As long as you have insurance, I wouldn't worry about anything. If you screen comes up to the point where it is affecting the screen, you can swap it out. If it just plays out that some light leaks out of the bottom and has no affect on anything, then who really cares about the issue? If no dust gets in and nothing changes with the touch sensitivity, I think it is a pretty minor issue that we should be able to move on from and continue to love our EVO's..... |

Re: How many will return their EVO?
How is that uneducated? There are mutiple posts in the forum of people dropping their Evo's and cracking the screen, and people that have the bleeding lite issue. Not to mention the screen pulling up. I may have said that the screen lifting issue was due to being in persons pants pocket, or that it plain just comes up after time...I never ever once said it was the cause of it. Your comment is purely uneducated...and has no meaning..so get your facts straight.. If you actually read posts in this forum you will see the proof.

Re: How many will return their EVO?
Man these guys are just crawling out of the wood work. I recognize that everyone is entitled to there own opinion and they are just that opinions. Personally I don't give a rats a$$ what you or the other 5 haters think about the EVO. SO please go return the phone and go back to whatever forum/thread you used to wine in before you got it. Take all the other baby's with you.
