Problem scrolling through text conversations

When I select a text conversation, and try to scroll up through previous messages, it immediately reverts back to the most recent message. I can get it to scroll up, but as soon as I stop scrolling it reverts back to the first message. I cannot read old messages because of this. Please tell me there's a way to fix this!

You should add sometimes to your poll. I assume your talking about the HTC messaging widget in which case I have to agree with you it sometimes keeps reverting to the first message. Other times it will stay on the text I flipped too. Not sure what causes it.

darn, i didn't even consider adding "sometimes" as a choice. maybe a mod will see this and add it for me.
at least i know it's not just me having this problem. unlike you, mine will NEVER stop on an old text message. i guess i need to start using one of the other text messaging apps.

No you're not the only one. I've found a lot of little quirks with this sense for android. It seems smoother than sense ui on wm but it could just be the hardware, I never owned an hd2 to compare. But what I love about the phone is that all the issues are pretty much software related which means there's a fix for it. The hardware is spectacular. Chompsms has a messaging widget and a lot of people seem to like it. I haven't tried it yet.
