"4g screen" Loop. What caused yours to loop? exchange? =0

1st off I apologize if there is another thread for this but i searched an didnt find anything. If there is point me to it and ill delete an go cry there.

Ok so after some experimenting I am pretty confident that Exchange causes my evo to go in to the endless "4g screen" loop. at 1st i thought it was my my sd card from my TP2 which had alot of system crap on it like the android dev files, roms, cabs etc..but im sure its exchange and it sucks for me cus thats where my work emails come in and where my contacts are.

If anyone would like to add please do.
Also this is not an issue for google/gmail accounts is it? since thats where ill be moving my contacts to....let me know, thanx

If you are using your SD Card from your TP2 why not save what you want to save and format it for use in your Evo? Just curious.

Are your rooted or using a custom ROM?

Oh that was the 1st thing i did, i figured out it wasnt the card after the 1st time i wiped the phone. Yes i am rooted an running OMJ's rom but ive experienced the loop both b4 and after customizing.

i took "trial & error" phase to the max (hours gone) and for me its definitely exchange

Did you make sure to Wipe Device and Dalvick Cache before flashing the new ROM?

Did you make a Nandroid backup? Have you tried reflashing into that to see what happens?

Hello there,
I read on adroidforums.com that a possible fix was to change your phone password from a numeric only password to an alpha-numeric one. My password was all numbers, thus, it felt like it could make sense, so I changed it to include letters and numbers. After doing this I powered off my phone and back on and it works perfectly fine. I've turned the phone on and off three times already and it is working smoothly now.

Hope this helps!

It appears to be Exchange not Gmail. I don't use Exchange on this phone, I do on my BB. I don't have this issue with Gmail.
