Screen May Be Coming Off

If I return my phone for service, is it necessary to return to a stock rom even though nothing is wrong with the software?

I have never had a problem getting a cooked phone serviced but some will say it's best to put stock on. You "could" in theory get into some trouble

Thanks, if they give me any guff I'll probably just go home, reinstall the stock rom and come back.

That's what I do!

I've never had problems one time I had to show the tech the awesome ROM I had and tell him where to get it. From what I understand Sprint does not care if you put a custom ROM on it. I asked a tech once and he responded that it's my phone so I can do what I want and software can't break hardware.

Please do not take this as fact this is what has happened to me and not official Sprint policy or anything.

Okay I just got back from the Sprint store and as I expected they dismissed my issue. I can't necessarily say they are wrong but is it something I should really worry about. According to them and the argument sounds good, it's the light coming from the edge of the glass hitting against the lip of the plastic. I don't like it but it sounds good. Is it worth returning the phone to Radio Shack to? Unless new phones are coming out with hardware version 004 I don't think I'll bother.

When you push on the bottom edge of the screen does the light leak stop?

My man, simple, just tell them about your issue. Don't be afraid to be honest. You have a 30day day guarantee. Either way, you are entitled to a replacement. F' it, do a song and dance, then swear to god that you're a fish and that the replacement will help deter ghosts. They must adhere to your request/demand for a replacement.
