Re: HTC Sync Prob So annoying

Not sure if this will help, but it worked for me. After first installing HTC Sync, I told it to sync both my contacts and my calendar. When it started syncing, it errored out on the contacts. After uninstalling, installing, etc., I got the same error. So, I tried only syncing the calendar. That worked. Then I unchecked that and only synced the contacts. Again it worked. Finally, I checked both and both synced.

What I have found is that Outlook has to be closed before you plug in and select sync or it will try to open a second instance of Outlook and this causes errors.

I hope this helps.

I haven't gotten HTC Sync on either the Evo or the PC to see the other once. The desktop client crashes with "Configuratin not found" and the Evo craps out with "HTC unable to connect" every time.

Strange thing is if I tell the Evo to act as a new mappable disk drive (i.e., the MicroSD card), then the PC can see the card.

I think the HTC Sync applicatin doesn't work as advertised.

Do you guys have the new HTC Sync program? 2.0.35 is the latest one out for the EVO.

I've installed the new one, the .33 version multiple times and not once has my phone pick up sync on the comp. Which sucks BC I'm tryin' to root to flash a ROM...
