is there a call timer on the evo?

if there is I can't find it. I like knowing how long I am talking to someone

When you are on a call I believe it is in the right hand corner of the call window. If you want to see on past calls just go into call history and you can long press on whoever you want to see and select "View Detailed Call History" and it will show you Duration/Incoming or Outgoing/Time of Call etc...
