my evo speedtest.net results suck bad

in small town (1 stop light literally) using my touch pro for wired tether now and speed test result on lappy is 117 ping, 0.41Mb/s download and 0.09 Mb/s upload. evo with speedtest.net widget has 907 ping, 0.02 Mb/s download, and 0.92Mb/s upload, both devices about a foot apart.

What gives?

Sorry to hear that man. Ive seen 2 other members report really slow data. They were also in Arizona. Maybe something going on with the towers out there. 0.41mbs is pretty slow as well but at least somewhat close to 3g speeds. Just ran one myself and got .847mbs in my house.

Same here in phoenix, pretty much the same speeds as well no matter what server I choose. I also have a friend with the same issue. Data was much faster on TP2.

My 3G is 2.31MBPS here in Florida on the Evo...
Maybe because we have thousands of stop lights.

Re: my evo speedtest.net results suck bad

Mine are terrible too. I only get about 300 - 400 kbs and am in Arizona (Phoenix area). No 4g in sight either. Maybe they are boycotting Arizona too .

Smile Re: my evo speedtest.net results suck bad

I'm in the Chicago suburbs and am running a fairly stock Evo (just got it last night) and am seeing results from 3.65 to 4.47 Mbps down and right around 1 Mbps up.

So far so good.
