Contact shortcuts deleted with Exchange Server sync

Not sure if anybody else suffers from the same thing but the contact shortcuts that I set up on the contacts widget get cleared every time the phone sync's with the server at work. I'm assuming that since I wasn't able to find any other complaints that are similar that it might be unique to my work's server?
