Problem making calls, is it EVO or Sprint?

So, today I've noticed this issue. All calls, except to few numbers, come back as Busy. Works fine from another number. I can call to my phone, but not from my phone.

The only number I found working so far was a pager that our company uses to track emergency calls.

The engadget article wasn't clear on this, but this isn't just an EVO problem. One of my salesmen has a Treo Pro and he's saying it won't let him call landlines, just mobile #'s

I wasn't able to call my gf's number, she's on MetroPCS, and all landlines that I've tried.

Thank God! I thought I was crazy or that my Evo was dysfunctional. I couldn't call ANY landlines all day. I kept trying to call work and couldn't (lucky I was at work... just happened to be testing my EVO constantly).

I found a weird workaround. Turns out if I changed the numbers in my contacts from Work/Home to MOBILE (even if it isn't a mobile), the call went through. Did you try that?

I am also in NYC.

ive been having that problem on my TP in Dallas... 2 in about 6 calls comes in busy... i think Verizon is having problems too... I know they have voice mail and it says busy.

I had 5 dropped calls today while talking to other cell users...not sure what that was... Hope the EVO has a robust radio..
