Sound quality

When listening through headphones, low tones and bass come off distorted on the left. It really seems to depend on what song tho, really low basses produce a weird warping sound.

Anyone else notice it? To the evos benefit, the songs i noticed it on are really base heavy.

Re: Sound quality

Today was the first time I plugged in headphones and I was impressed by the audio quality of it, everything sounded great. As a matter of fact does anyone know if there is an audioboost type program for android?

Re: Sound quality

Interestingly enough I just tried my Sennheiser HD650 headphones out, and the EVO powers them fine. Not as much lower end authority compared to a dedicated headphone amp, but no distortion.

Re: Sound quality

Sounds great through my headphones too. I have a $20 pair of Sony earbuds from Best Buy so they're not high end or anything, but they do sound pretty good. They seal up my ear canal very well and the bass is enough to bump my eardrums a little bit so I have no complaints. I haven't listened to high-bitrate MP3 files on it yet, but I have listened to streaming internet radio (128 kbps) and it sounds very nice. Overall I'm very impressed with the audio quality of the phone.
