Re: Try this screen test with your EVO and report back

This is happening on my Google I/O phone but no problems at all with the retail one. Could be an Android or HTC thing as I heard reports on the Hero, Incredible & now the EVO

Same issue here. Its only the notifications portion of the phone that will not operate at all for me if I dont have both hands on it

try it, but do it just a tad more slowly. If you place your finger up there, you'll see the curtain appear, then pull down.

Re: Try this screen test with your EVO and report back

I just noticed this yesterday. I kept trying to slide down the notification bar and couldn't do it (phone was laying down on the bed), I thought I wasn't touching it at the right place, then I pick it up and it works. Kind of bothers me a little since sometimes I just want to check what I have without picking it up.

Re: Try this screen test with your EVO and report back

this was reported before the evo even launched. It has to do with some kind of a grounding effect.

Re: Try this screen test with your EVO and report back

I have the same issue too. I've done it slowly, but sometimes the curtain won't even appear. Everywhere else on the screen works fine. I also did the battery trick but it did not help. Something else I noticed is that if the phone is locked, after I unlock it I can get the curtain to kind of flicker, but if I do other things and then try to roll down the curtain it hardly responds at all.
