Incorrect SMS time stamps

Does anyone have the issue of getting random times on their Text messages. Mine come in at all times like right now they are saying 1pm. I know this was an issue with the TP2 on the sprint network. Has anyone been having this issue? It is off and on from my Gf HTC Hero. I haven't gotten any from anyone else like this that I have noticed.

Re: Incorrect SMS time stamps

I have the same issue. We fixed it on WinMo by a simple reg edit, but so far, no fix here. I noticed it usually happens when I am at home, which is about 20 miles from the time zone change. Maybe it's using the tower time and it's set to eastern. I wish there was a way to get it to use the time on the phone, not the tower.

I am eastern all the way -5gmt but im not sure the times are all over the map. I hope that this is not something that we will be stuck with.

Re: Incorrect SMS time stamps

Seems like there are more and more things being discovered and modified using the recovery mode on rooted phones. Maybe somebody will come across the line of code that controls where the time stamp comes from.
