Headphone output problems

Has anyone else had problems with the audio output from the headphone port? Mine has been interrmittent. And its def software prb. I have had issues with pandora, slacker, and the default htc music player. Sometimes killing the app and relauching the app helps, othertimes a reboot of the phone is needed to restore headphone out. very Annoying.

Re: Headphone output problems

No it doesnt get stuck, the headphone icon goes on and off when it should. Sometime it seems the OS doesnt properly route the audio.

Re: Headphone output problems

Mine seemed to switch from a headphone icon to a wired headset icon and kept tying to listen to voice commands.

Re: Headphone output problems

Mine doesn't do anything for FM Radio...it told me I had to use headphones as an antenna...so I plugged in headphones, and it has absolutely no reception anywhere...and I live in a city, with a lot of radio stations with very strong signals...I don't really care about the FM radio...but it'd be cooler if it worked lol.

Re: Headphone output problems

Not to hijack this and make it a FM radio thread, but my FM radio only works well if I use headphones that have a mic. Regular headphones work barely, but the ones with a mic pull in stations perfectly! Do I have a defective EVO or is this normal?

Re: Headphone output problems

Kinda strange to hear about so many people having problems with headphone output. Seems like it might be software related then. I haven't used headphones on mine yet, but I have used the headphone port as a line out to my car stereo so I could listen to streaming internet radio through my car audio system while I was driving and it sounded great. No problems at all. Based on that I would say my headphone port works as it should. I'll try actual headphones tomorrow.

Hard to believe it would be a hardware issue since so many of you are reporting problems, unless there was a manufacture defect somewhere down the line.
