Using the unrevoked method I have had issues with my phone rebooting after shutting this program down.if you have problems with your phone after closing this program that will be your main culprit.program works fine but just be aware.

That is because unrevoked is not a full root... it is just a 'soft' root. In order to fully use this app you need to do toast's root method.

I tried this and got "The application Wireless Tether (process android.tether) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close!

I am running Fresh Evo 0.3 ROM. I've also tried this on OMJ Eclair 1.4 as well as MikROM's and got the same error.

I am very new to Android.

Ive used this a few times and havent had any issues with my phone yet. Hopefully it stays that way but so far so good. I dont use it often tho.

If you are using the fresh rom uninstall then reinstall it is already rooted. This has been reported in his rom and the fix is uninstall then reinstall it worked for me.

I thought since it's cooked into the ROM, it should just worked. At any rate, your suggestion solved my problem.

thats was so easy i thought it was gona b hard. ok i never done root a phone im new to android so yea. i just went to that link "unrevoked " download, intalled it, open it n it was rootd as simple as 1 2 3 . them installed the wifi thngy n thats all damn easy for noobs hahaha. i guess is rootd mmm thnks guys for the info
