Sprint is NOT blocking free wifi. The limitation of the free wifi is inherent in CDMA it will not handle simultaneous voice and data. It is possible with 4g because then voice is over 3g while your data is over the 4g.

Ok I think you need to understand something. You probably downloaded it to your SD card, not your CPU. If you dont already have a file explorer, search the market for Astro. Once you install astro, open it up and navigate to your downloads folder and you should see the .apk in there, just press on it and it will ask you if you want to install, just hit install and wait. Once it finishes, you can now open the program.

Attach via usb put on sd card use file explorer such as astro double click to install. Or the developer has a bar code on that page use barcode scanner form market start it let it see the bar code it will download to you phone click on it to install. You must go into settings and allow outside apps not form the app store for it to work.

ok so i did it with the scanner app and got it on my phone and was able to connect to it but not able to surf the web

So your computer recognized the wifi signal and you connected to it but then you cant surf the web on your PC?
