Hotmail email problem

This is definitely not the problem. WM 5 used POP to sync hotmail, and it didn't suffer this problem. BTW, tested yahoo and gmail, and neither of these accounts have this problem, but they both use IMAP protocol. Anyone still having this problem after doing the OTA update sent out on Fri? I haven't updated yet.


EDIT, I may stand corrected on the POP think, but maybe WM5 just pulled the last X number of emails and did something to sync it properly. See 3rd post here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-...ro-sprint.html

I've just been getting my msn email being sent via SMS and then going to the web via browser to view it fully. Not the best, but It'll have to do until the new hotmail changes come

I was having this problem with my hotmail as well and actually found that slowing down my sync frequency solved it. I was doing every 15minutes before and the deleted emails kept coming back. i changed it to 2 hours and everytime I open the folder and it stopped. Also make sure in settings "delete items on server" is checked. Someone please try this and let me know if it works for you or not.

I have been using SEVEN email client for full sync and no issues so far. will use this until the new hotmail gets rolled out

has anyone come up with a solution to this problem yet? I love my evo but I hate the way it handles hotmail. Even my old motorola q did a better job with hotmail than this thing. I only want to sync my gmail and hotmail not my work e-mail so i dont mind using exchange but when i tried it it keeps saying

To access a Windows Live Hotmail or MSN Hotmail account in your email program or mobile device using POP or IMAP and IzyMail:
Visit http://v3.izymail.com/register.aspx.
Enter your full Windows Live Hotmail or MSN Hotmail address under eMail address:.
Type your Windows Live Hotmail or MSN Hotmail password under Password:.
Now type the numbers from the Validation code: CAPTCHA under Validation code:.
Click FREE Registration ».
Optionally, tweak settings under IzyMail Retrieval Options and sign up for a paid IzyMail subscription.

If your program or device is not listed, use the following settings.

For IMAP: IMAP server: in.izymail.com.
IMAP port: 143.
Require SSL: No.
User name: your entire Windows Live Hotmail or MSN Hotmail email address. Make sure you include "@hotmail.com". If your Windows Live Hotmail log-in name is "qwerty", for example, use "qwerty@hotmail.com" as the user name for IzyMail.

Password: your Windows Live Hotmail or MSN Hotmail password.
