Re: Takes forever to kill when trying

Yeah, I think the only thing good about draining full is calibrating how the system reads the remaining battery life. The battery itself will perform better if it's kept near full as much as possible.

Yes, draining the battery will cause more harm than good. Therefore, I wouldn't even drain it once every 30 times, I would try my best to not let it go below 20% if possible!

Just recently graduated from college and had a professor, PHD in energy/engineering and gave us a whole run down on lithium batts. Basically, as the battery drops below the 20% mark, the ions will slowly begin to separate. As these ions separate, it becomes harder to hold a charge. Same on laptops, and thats why I can't run mine any more without plugging it in, as I used to let it run dry!

All in all, do as the above member stated, keep it fully charged as much as possible!!

Re: Takes forever to kill when trying

Although, just to test this, I let mine get to 10% and have been hammering on it for about 15 minutes and all it did was drop to 9% with wi-fi browsing and using a couple apps. If the battery life was in the upper range, I'd easily lose 5% doing the same thing.

Re: Takes forever to kill when trying

Well i must admit, going from a Wm to Android os phone, one can totally see the difference in battery life, and im currently running stock rom and havent even rooted yet. I may even upgrade to the seidio battery (not the fat one) for extended phone use.
