Evo and gps

I currently have a moment and love it except for my gps has never worked correctly. It is always losing signal for long periods of time and accuracy is always way off. Shows me on 2 or 3 streets over from where i really am. So my question is has anyone tested or had any problems with their sprint navigation and / or google navigation. The google is what i prefer to use but just having a gps that works would be a plus. I dont want to switch over from a phone that i do like alot to find i have the same issue. Sprint has swapped out my moment 3 times in 6 months because of this. So any input would be great.
