I would imagine it is hard to predict what sequence of numbers you want since there are no number "words."

Not sure what you mean, but there should be a num key for numbers..

Re: Working Confirmed Swype with Picture Guided Instructions (Best EVO Keyboard)

I gotta question everything working fine.i installed the black/blue from xda didn't like it so i went back to original i think the blue highlight got stuck with me unless I never noticed it before, so on initial or single tap its their a blue glow or did it stick with me? Ill be sure to thank for all this info.

Works Great, and Thanks!!!

Thanks to the OP for posting this.

I can confirm it works GREAT (at least for me).. My Favorite keyboard. After you use it for a little bit, it learns some of your words (like email address, cuss words, etc)...

Thanks again!

Re: Working Confirmed Swype with Picture Guided Instructions (Best EVO Keyboard)

Glad this is making everyone as happy as it made me. Thanks for all the help setting it up, and for the confirmations. This has turned out to be quite the crowd pleaser, and as soon as I pick up my EVO I'll dish out even more awesomeness, promise!

We need more people to test those colored XDA links and get back to this thread with results. I'd do it myself.. but no EVO.
Keep up the feedback, and don't forget to thank who helps you!

Tried this app on my evo and I am sold. I feel like I am getting faster with it every time I use it, probably due to it learning more of my words and me realizing that you can be pretty sloppy and it still gets it right usually. Thanked.

Something else I suggest: Use the tutorial!! Also, I need someone to confrim that you can access a swype setttings menu that allows you to control the sloppiness/speed of word recognition..

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can get to the settings menu. You tap the Swype logo key (lower left) and then tap options. From there you can turn the sounds on or off, set auto spacing, auto capitalization, word predition, tip indicator, haptic feedback, you can adjust the length of the display trace, how often the word choice window appears, speed vs accuracy, auto insert timeout on the word choice window, and the help/tutorial...

Also, for those who don't know...when you're on the normal ABC keyboard, if you tap the "SYM" key, you get numbers and symbols...if you're on EITHER ABC or SYM, and you swype from the logo key (lower left) to the key next to it, you get the editor keyboard, which has arrow keys, text selection options, cut/copy/paste and so on...hope some of this helps.
