Something else I suggest: Use the tutorial!! Also, I need someone to confrim that you can access a swype setttings menu that allows you to control the sloppiness/speed of word recognition..

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can get to the settings menu. You tap the Swype logo key (lower left) and then tap options. From there you can turn the sounds on or off, set auto spacing, auto capitalization, word predition, tip indicator, haptic feedback, you can adjust the length of the display trace, how often the word choice window appears, speed vs accuracy, auto insert timeout on the word choice window, and the help/tutorial...

Also, for those who don't know...when you're on the normal ABC keyboard, if you tap the "SYM" key, you get numbers and symbols...if you're on EITHER ABC or SYM, and you swype from the logo key (lower left) to the key next to it, you get the editor keyboard, which has arrow keys, text selection options, cut/copy/paste and so on...hope some of this helps.

Re: Working Confirmed Swype with Picture Guided Instructions (Best EVO Keyboard)

Has anyone gotten the double tap to bring up the word correction list? I doesn't seem to work like the tutorials states. I have to select the word (or place the cursor on it) and hit the swype key. Not a huge deal but the double tap would be quicker.

Also, thanks OP!

I was very accustomed to the double tap method, which DOES work in windows mobile...but it doesn't seem to work in this version...I've adjusted to a single tap then a tap of the Swype key.

I believe this is still a "pre-release" version of Swype...and thats really just about the only thing I've found that doesn't work the way I had hoped it would...maybe they'll either update the instructions to not say it will work, or update the software so it does in a future version...but I'm quite happy with it the way it is for now.

I don't think anyone can transfer anything to the sd yet, and watching the tutorial is a good way to start
