Thanks, this is what I needed to know...it is working now. I was able to get to play with swype for a few days on my touch pro before the EVO came out and I fell in love with it

I found a file for Swype last night that gave me this error.

When I saw this post, I uninstalled the old one and installed the one in the OP. Everything is good to go now.

yeah i take that back. BOTH kb 'back arrows' will erase letters as you press the button. any way to press the back arrow to get to a certain letter without erasing letters along the way?

i.e. to correct the word: governkment to just erase the "k" without erasing "ment" or having to press exactly by the "k"

In all honesty, I just got the file found and have people testing it for me so that I could safely post it here; I haven't gotten my EVO yet (2-6 more days). Buuuut, on the TP2 version I used to use, if you click on the swype symbol on the kb, a screen replaces the kb with arrows and copy/paste functionality, etc. It was accessed after you clicked the "don't show tutorial" box. But like I said, IDK, try and see if the button works and I'll contact some people in the meantime, and hope some one comes through on this thread who's tried it. Sorry
