I was thinkin it was because it was after a reset, but I think I was just offered another OTA...I didn't download tho

That is weird. Maybe you downloaded the first time, but didn't install (I'm not sure how that all works, I've managed to not get the prompts to update on my Google I/O version)

i'm thinkin a different one, and the update doesn't break the root, it still works

It works, but from my understanding, it reverts back to the preupdated version after root unless you're using unrevoked method
