RAM usage

So this device has 512 Ram....on a fresh restart I have about 208. What gives? Any way to free up more?

its because with all that extra ram the system will put more stuff into the ram to make things run faster. also you probably have apps running in the background

but 208 free is still a good number i'd say

Go to the Android Market and look for a free app called "Advanced Task Killer" Download it, set it up...and run it every so often...Android doesn't persay close every program, but leave its in memory to load faster...if it's a program you don't want running...have it set in ATK and it will close it...ATK is a great app to have...

208mb ram is like a tp2 with 100% ram free or at least around..whats with the complaining >.> lol

If anything I'm guessing its the sprint bloatware...

I am happy with 182, after using Advanced Task Killer (172 before). What is this pre-occupation with free RAM, when there is way more than enough? And the way the Android OS handles it, is just being goofy. folks.

I have advanced task killer. After a day of use and killing everything, I was down to 148. After a reboot, I have 208. Anyone think there is a memory leak on this ROM?

I too have experienced severe memory leaks. I'll start a fresh reset with 196MB free then after a day of use its down to 44 (I also use ATK).

Not to mention, I let it sit for like 3 hrs and it started running all these apps I haven't event touched yet...

Yea i noticed all the apps running i didnt open. But they all have permission to if im not mistaken. Has your guys phones slowed down as a result ?

I have had my ram as low as 44 megs and it was still running pretty snappy.

I only really use Dolphin HD and task killer says that sprint tv, navigator and sprint zone were running when i nevre ever used them. Was down to 73. What gives? Do all of you folks have to reset everyday to recover RAM?
