EVO LED notification problem

OK, so I turned off the LED flash notification for voicemail, missed calls, and email. All without a problem...except, it still blinks when I get an email. This is on both my EVO's, Rooted and no OTA. Anyone else having an issue with the email notification LED blinking even after its unchecked?

Re: EVO LED notification problem

I think you need to realize this may seem important, but the world is beginning to crash. There may be a lull, a gap, but the Evo will mean little to all of us very soon. Remember the day the World Trade Center went down? Did you give a crap about your phone? Worse is coming, the signs are everywhere...............

Right, however, I still don't need the LED notification blinking away in my pocket every I get an email.....especially at work when I sometimes can;t check it for an hour or more. Also, I just had my buddy try to turn off his notification for email on a stock non rooted EVO also without OTA update and he gets the same thing...still blinks!

Re: EVO LED notification problem

This was also an issue on the TP2. The light continues to flash until you open an email. Just open the latest email (from the inbox with new mail) and the light stops flashing. At least that's how it works for me, ymmv.

Re: EVO LED notification problem

I know how to make it stop...that's not the point. The point is, again, I usually can't check my phone for an hour, maybe 2. All the while the LED is flashing away in my pocket killing my battery. That's the whole reason they give you the option of turning it off. Only problem is, this does not work. Still blinks for email and voicemail.
