Re: Keyboards

I think you guys need to have a little more patience. If u coming from a hard keyboard of course u gonna have trouble at first. U cant expect to be flying on the kb after one day. Give it at least a week or 2 and watch how easy it becomes.

Re: Keyboards

I just want to know how to quickly switch the HTC keyboards between QWERTY and Phone Pad, the manual says press the little gear button (Pg. 23) on the on screen keyboard but there's no button like that on my keyboard smh.

Hmmm good point my bad that was on my old kb i had on my hero and I've been using swype and forgot. I swear that gear used to be there but u can acces the kb settings by pushing menu on the home screen, then settings, language&Keyboard, and then touch input.... so i guess there isnt a way to change on the fly anymore

Re: Keyboards

Anyone else having a problem switching between keyboards? I'll go into language & keyboards under settings, select swype, then go to send a text and it'll be the stock touch input KB instead of swype...what gives?

Re: Keyboards

All you are doing under language and keyboards is enabling that keyboard for use. You still have to long press in an input field to select Input Method and then select Swype.

I personally am kicking the HTC IME Modded keyboard, it rocks and has lots of options.

Re: Keyboards

I downloaded the SlideIT keyboard. What is the difference between SlideIT and Swype? I really like SlideIT. I can go really fast and can add to the dictionary.

Re: Keyboards

If you want to quickly switch between keyboards just tap and hold on the text field. A menu will come up where you can select your keyboard. I use TouchPal and love it.
This is by far the easiest way to switch between keyboards.

Edit: just saw someone posted this already... still the best way to switch. Android ftw!

LOL, thought it was something simple I was missing! Now if TouchPal could come up with a better android version I'll be happy.

Thanks hit!
