well yeah, early morning would've been fine, especially if you were on the east coast but now that the entire country is up and running sprint's activations have slowed to near stand still

Re: RadioShack/Sprint Evo issues?

I got to radio shack at 8:30 and they were having a hard time getting through the system because it's so slow. Took 45 minutes for the store manager to get through and get my phone activated. That's what happens when people all across the country try to activate their new phone at the same time. BTW I typed this post on my newly activated Evo. This thing is sexy!

To the OP, I would tell that guy at RS to screw himself. I wouldn't't leave til I had my phone, no matter how long it took.

depends on the time zone you were in, by the time stores opened in CA the rest of the country was up and running and probably already had the system jammed

and the guy at RS doesn't need to screw himself, he wasn't trying to get rid of the OP, just trying to be considerate of his time

Re: RadioShack/Sprint Evo issues?

I had a 9:30 EST appointment and the system gave the guy fits. He apologized several times but I could tell it was nothing he was doing wrong. We were almost to the last screen of the activation and it blew him completely out. I had no complaints as it still only took a half hour or so. First time in that store and very helpful guy working there.

Sounds like he didn't give him an option. He can't activate it until tomorrow? That's BS. It may take awhile to get through the system but all he has to do is ask the guy if he wants to wait or come back. Not just say he can't get it til tomorrow.

Re: RadioShack/Sprint Evo issues?

Now I feel good about not getting the phone today...LOL. I mean I am out of town and can't get the phone till tomorrow. I hope tomorrow the madness would have come down.
I like to sail in calm waters....
I am on EPRP, which I switched 4days back. Hope they will be able to add the phone in no time.

Re: RadioShack/Sprint Evo issues?

Got to RS at 8am and the system was all locked up we would get through half the process and the system would kick him off. I called a friend who is a manager at Sprint he said they were having the same issue. After 50 minutes I had to get back to work so the manager said he would call me when everything was running correctly and he would give me a free screen protector. He showed me his Evo and I was surprised by how good the voice texting feature worked.
