Re: HTC EVO System Update!
Other message boards are saying is a software update only...
But honestly... HTC is not known for shutting down the hacker community.... And, if it takes root away, someone else will figure out another root.

Re: HTC EVO System Update!
Sooo no huge noticable differences my Google Goggles was acting a little funky earlier it seems to be ok now.
It didnt seem to ruin my root access I dont know how to confirm this but I was able to boot into the recovery image and screen that allows you to flash roms still so I think it is good. No updated qik so I still dont know how Google IO devices will get it |

Re: HTC EVO System Update!
Unrevoked is reporting that this breaks the current rooting method. So do so at your own preference install the OTA.

Re: HTC EVO System Update!
I think the SD card issue may be related to incorrect formatting as FAT, rather than FAT32. I reported on this elsewhere, and how I dealt with it. If so, a software update won't likely fix that.

Re: HTC EVO System Update!
I'm still unsure about that. They made the public statement that they wouldn't stop anyone from using a 3rd party app that creates a hotspot, we'll just have to see if they honor what they've said (this time )
