Re: Who is waiting to buy the Evo?

My local Best Buy called yesterday as they are setting up appointments for the phone activations. I was #8 to purchase at my store and they are only doing 1 hour time blocks for the activations. I have to wait until f*cking 5:00 for my "appointment" to pick up my damn phone I have been waiting months for!

BULL SH*T!

Anyone else having this in their area?

No, that's pretty messed up. I'm #6 on the list at my BB and I'm at 8:30am.

the phone officially comes out tom so its not like the phone is out and you waited month to get it after you ordered it.

and of course, if the phone is going to sell well you have to wait.. like it has been with anything that is in big demand..

relax lol go hug someone or eat a cookie

Re: Who is waiting to buy the Evo?

Hey I am relaxed...... I just do not see the need to schedule a 1 hour block just to activate a phone. The last 4 I have done myself and took a grand total of about 10 minutes.
Hell, when I activated my TP2 I was on my ½ hour lunch break from work (That is after plugging it in to charge a little)
So is there some huge sales pitch that is supposed to be coming during this hour long process?

And, yes, it was only a month since I pre-ordered. But between the time spent waiting for this after the phone was leaked and the disappointment of the HD2 going to T-Mobile it feels like I am at 6 months of waiting for something better than the TP2 to come out.

BTW, I don't like cookies.

I think the 1 hour appt blocks will allow retailers to handle appointments and in between deal with walk in customers. Plus it gives room for any unforeseen issues.

BTW, I will be waiting as well... TIL 6AM!

Do like three of the Sprint employees in my local store and go buy it for full retail at Best Buy, and they all have the Hero too. Now you know the phone is awesome!! They are like kids the night before Christmas right now.

Must be nice.
Oh well, at least I have the entire weekend to play around with it until work comes calling again.
