Sprint hates SERO. To sprint, its like a bad dream they wish it didnt happen. phone technically will work with any plan, but its a restriction set in place by sprint to try and get people off their SERO plans. With evo it will work nicely. I think the phone is worth the switch for me.

Sprint will do everything in their power to get people to leave sero. this is the reason they wont allow any android device on it. want android? switch plans.

Yeah, this. When I first had SERO and threatened to leave, retentions would help me out. In 2009, they stopped caring about us and realized they weren't really making much money from us anyway. Retentions would actually tell me to leave Sprint if I was unhappy and would often cite the fact that I have a $30 plan and shouldn't bitch about anything. lol

Yep, sprint got smart. Now that I'm married, I just brought my wife on and got a family everything data plan. Taking on my Corprate discount brings it close to $100. Yeah, it's a lot more than my $30 sero, but she had been paying $70+ on AT&T anyway with a crapy phone.

I just decided "it was a good run while it lasted" and switched. I saved several hundred having that plan for 2+ years. Now, I'll get on premier anyway and be able to get a new phone every year.

Plus, I'm not eligible till September. By that time the Galaxy S will be out and it's rumored it will be available on Sprint too. If so, it probably won't be a 4G phone and that would mean that I'd be albe probably be able to avoid the $10/month fee.

Yeah, I'm going to spend about $2000 over my 2 year contract with the Evo, but considering I only spent $1400 in THREE years with SERO, I don't have much room to complain. lol

they (sprint) will have you believe the fee is NOT for 4g. so NO, you wont be avoiding it from now on.

anyways that is to be debated elsewhere and not in this thread. just trying to not get your hopes up on avoiding the fee.

If i could get this plan:
(450 plan $70)+($10 fee) - ($10 for 24 months) - (27%discount on $70(-$20) +/- $10 taxes= ~60 FTW

I would jump out of my SERO 500 plan.

Re: Good news for current SERO users for EVO upgrade

I called up twice to try to switch my SERO to the EPRP and both times they told my I can only go to the ED 450. What number are you guys calling?

Re: Good news for current SERO users for EVO upgrade

Just tried *2. She at least knew about the EPRP but like the others advised that it's not compatible with the EVO. She also advised me that $10/24 ended last month. Double whammy. Guess I'm headed for the everything data.
