does the browser detect the phone correctly?

since ie and shipped opera would not detect the tp2 as a mobile phone and adjust size accordingly.

does the evo allow a great browsing experience?

The EVO's Android browser is the best browser I have ever use on a phone. Scrolling is fast, Hyperlinks can be press without zooming in.Copy and paste is the shit & it's present through the entire OS. I find myself looking for things to Google just to use the browser. I'm looking forward to what Froyo brings to Android's already great browser.

I have never used android but have you tried opera, dolphin or skyfire if so do you still feel the stock browser is best.

Only Opera mini(No mult-touch) is available & Android stock blows it out of the water imo. I tried both Skyfire and Dolphin & I didn't like Skyfire at all. It seems the only reason to use that browser is to watch flash content which is about to change once Froyo is release. Dolphin was the only other decent one besides the stock version, which I still prefer. It basically boils down to preference.

I agree. In PPCGeeks, the page is seen full, and you can tap the links if you can read them. A double tap zooms it exactly the right amount, and all the test word-wraps correctly for the screen size, but leaves the rest of the page format, like where the Thanks Button, etc., are, over to the right (so you have to scroll over to where things normally are). I like this, because it doesn't try to stack everything on the page into one long skinny column, but just the text. It's awesome, quick, and responsive.
