LED Flashlights working on EVO - no root

It seems that on the current firmware you can use the LED flash apps without the need for root. "FlashApp" by Damunix and "LED Light" by picolyl both work, the latter of which has a nice widget to go along with it. Both are available in the market.

As this pertains particularly to the Evo being able to run them without root, I figured I'd post here. If a mod wants to move it to software though, feel free.

That's one app I will be glad to get back. I really missed that on the TP2, after using it for 2 years on the Mogul, almost daily

Same here. I had set my Voice Command hard key to activate the flash light on my Mogul.

I had AE Button+, and think I used 3 clicks on the upper right hand button. Made it hard to accidentally turn on

Based on your EVO Picture, did you mod that flash or you just installed software only?

Re: LED Flashlights working on EVO - no root

I hope Nue from Nuerom.com makes a nice app for the EVO. I liked the low beam and high beam options and you never know when youll need S.O.S morse code option also

Did you mod your EVO in order to get flash? How did you it?

It's software only. The evo has a dual LED flash.
