Re: LED Flashlights working on EVO - no root

Used an app like this on WM, but lost that ability with the TP2 since it did not have LEDs. I was able to use an app that made the screen all white at full brightness, but it wasn't nearly as good as the LED flashlight.

I am really looking forward to getting that functionality back.

As this pertains particularly to the Evo being able to run them without root, I figured I'd post here. If a mod wants to move it to software though, feel free.

They both work, but FlashApp is the one for me, because in regular "On" mode it is similar in brightness to LED Light, but the Flash button throw it into REAL BRIGHT mode for a second, which may be very handy in larger dark areas at times, just to get a general overview. Cool apps, thanks

Re: LED Flashlights working on EVO - no root

That would be nice to have a app that flashes your LED's when a call comes in...I know it can probably be done...just a matter of when or who does it. I used to play with the Dual LED lights on my BB Storm...and the one on the orginal TP....it was fun...it will be nice to get them back...but I would like to see other reason to use it other than taking a picture in the dark..

There is an app called Flashlight Alerts made specifically for the Evo. You can find it on the market for 1.99 or you can use the below link and get it for free where the dev made it available to fellow XDA members.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4&postcount=35

Works great... You can enable for calls and/or text messages...

Enjoy!!!
