Andrioid Security...

one question i have is what type of security does andriod have in terms of privacy?

Every video i see just seems to have the simple slide to unlock, but what about a pin code option? i have a nosey GF and need to make it harder for her to get into my new phone.

and what about locking certain apps? like my text messages or call log or etc.

can any1 chime in on this? are there more security features in andriod or do i have to d/l apps to do simple pin lock tasks?

Android has the slide, pin and patterns to unlock.

I dont remember the name of the app but there is one that you use which enables the user to have to input a pass to launch a program.

Would love to know the name of the app, if anyone else cares to contribute.

Thanks for what info you could provide, though

I think its called App Lock. Don't quote me on that though.

Google returned AppLock and Protector. Try Protector first as AppLock is suppose to be laggy. http://www.androlib.com/android.appl...ctor-npjA.aspx

Also one called App Protector.

Android includes a slide to unlock, pin to unlock and a pattern to unlock. Pin = number code. Pattern = a physical pattern you draw on the screen to unlock.

What are you trying to hide from your girlfriend? Are we going to see you on the next episode of Cheaters?

I think the same goes for the pin lock, someone can just watch you.
I think you can set up the pattern so when you draw your pattern, the line will not appear.
