*5/29/2010 Update* PPCGeeks meeting other "Geeks" in lines...

Getting mine at Radio Shack on McHenry Ave in Modesto, CA. Plan on being there early early, like the first one in the door. I've been waiting for this phone impatiently since I first heard about it way back when Sprint first announced it. My HTC Touch is acting up big time (touch screen doesn't work right anymore) so this is long overdue. I just became eligible for a full upgrade too so I only have to pay $200 since Radio Shack is offering the instant rebate, plus $20 accessory credit. Dropped a deposit on mine as soon as I got the email saying they were taking deposits. Like literally, I read the email and ran out the door and drove down there.

Can't wait!

I have a license to carry but I seldom actually carry. The thing is if I camp, obviously it will be overnight and I think I would be crazy to sit out there overnight and not have protection. Its not about the phone its about the fact that people are sitting out there in the middle of the night with money on them. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Was in BB first thing when they opened the day the Pre-sale started. Was kinda weird that the guy told me to come in on the 4th and it would be here. After reading everyone saying they got an appointment I decided to go in and ensure I was on some sort of list. (Call me paranoid!!! I need my fix!!!) Went in today (BB in Miami, FL on Kendall Dr.) and confimed, I'm #1 on the list. Appointment is for 9am on the 4th. I asked the guy if they would possibly be handing these out early. He told me come in on the 3rd and he'll see what he can do for me..........
