I can finally get rid of my Zune and Zune Software!

Ive been waiting on an mp3/cellphone alternative forever! and finally the EVO comes around.
Now i can ditch my zune and the crummy zune software for a simple (i hope) drag and drop mp3 player setup. I also have an aux adapter installed in my car so i can connect my mp3 player to the car, so im wondering how this will play out. Maybe a nice dash mount setup can be installed.

anyone else replacing their mp3 player for this all in one solution??
ive got no experience with the android mp3 player software, is it worthy? include an equalizer?
is battery power an expense with playing mp3s on this phone??
