chances of getting the phone on the 4th with no pre-order
I have a friend who wants to get the EVO but she doesn’t have the $50 now to pre-order it but she will have the full $199 for the phone on the 4th. I know this phone is expected to fly off the shelves but what are her chances of walking into a Sprint store or BB on June 4th and walking out with a EVO without pre-ordering

Well if she does want to buy it from a sprint store she will need 299 because of the Mail-in rebate. It also looks like BestBuy has sold out of much of the first batch of EVO's

As someone pointed out, its 299 at a sprint store and sprint stores are opening at 7, so not that likely in my eyes.

It really depends on the city....

I have not pre-ordered my phone and I know I will get it on the 4th. I live in Houston and there are like 10 BB's and countless Radio Shacks and Sprint Stores.

I am not worried at all.

Benefits of living in a big city.

I'm in houston too. Just wish I had the funds for the 4th to get this beast! It'll have to wait. Only cause I have to get 2....I decided I will turn my TP2 into best buy and get that mad credit - that will almost pay for the first one. But my second line doesn't have the $150 upgrade til August. I'll just be envious as people around me come in with it.

I hate not being the first with the latest! ugh!
