Yeah but I know for a fact that the ps3 isn't capable of it.. I have tried it a million times with my TP2 and WmWiFi Router.... Doesn't work and that is definitely ad- hoc

Yes. Chicago is one of the first. Even Comcast is jumping on the 4G bandwagon around here.

4G bars show full strength. I think once Sprint fine tunes the infrastructure, it should get faster yet.

How satisfied are you with the 4G speeds? How satisfied with the device are you overall?

I'm overall very satisfied with it. I'd even venture to say it is worth more than retail price. Everything is instant on the phone. The larger screen makes everything easier to read. I can read web pages without zooming in while still being able to see the entire page. 4G speeds are nice but you really can't take advantage of it on the phone by itself. Complex web pages load slightly faster over 4G but not enough to keep it on all the time (it seems like it is a battery hog...more on that later). The only time I can think of where you would be able to utilize is if you were streaming HD content to an external display. The phone's display is too small to see any increase in resolution of the video.

My only gripe is battery life. Right now, it lasts a work day...meaning about 12 hours. Keep in mind this is with heavy use, a lot of data transfer, and with 4G on. I'm hoping that when I stop playing with the phone so much since it is new, that battery life will extend to around 24 hours or more even with 4G turned on.

Wow I haven't seen 12 hours battery life .. Well maybe ever. I get about 9 on my Hero which is pathetic but ideal with it. Got even less on my Touch Pro 2 . 12 hours would be an upgrade for me... I do have low standard though lol

I had a chance to play with the EVO today! My sprint rep brought it in, and I gave it a good hour investigation, and yes, the wifi rocks. I used it, it hooked up fast and loved it.
