Re: EVO 720p Video
For the size of the camera on the Evo 4G, or any phone in that matter...you can't expect it to be super blazing high quality. The camera on that phone is smaller than the pinky finger...and thats it...my Point and shoot Canon SX110 doesn't even do that good of quality on video...so thats saying something....but I'm not worried about it. The camera is meant for those quick shots, quick videos...not a replacement of your DV or HD camera you paid $200-500 for. From the video I would be pretty happy with it...says much more than what my current TP2 does for video, thats utter crap.

Re: EVO 720p Video
I thought the vid was bada$$ for a phone. I rarely used the video camera on any of my prior phones due to them sucking so much. I think this is a huge step if not leap ahead.
I'm happy with the quality. |

Re: EVO 720p Video Sample
the best way to show any flaws in these cmos imagers is to shoot in low light. that brings out the imperfections in the imager and also show the grain (if any) and video noise present. if you go out in sunlight or bright light you will not see any major imperfections since the video noise to signal is so low (high video signal over comes the noise). so you cats with an EVO, take some video in low light (say just a table lamp or ambient light or even on a dimly lit street) and post up in 720p...
