Awesome! Thanks for the explanation on the Micro-usb. Like I said sorry for the newb questions, but it helped me and hopefully someone else learned something from it. Never knew standard usb is about 1500! 16 days and counting ladies and gentlemen!

well theres another reason for the change.
all major cell phone companies except for cr apple are changing to this connector.
Nokia SE Samsung LG. all there smart phones are suppose to be going to this to eliminate all the cable clutter.

watch this video @ 1:19min they show the usb port, its Micro for sure even though he says "standard usb port"-hes wrong... its Micro all the way.. glad you guys pointed this out as i didnt know

according to the Mobile World Congress in 2009, by 2012 ALL devices will be MicroUSB Standard... meaning every device will have this connection..

I dont think so. Mind you I never had a palm pre but I think its the mini USB like the TP2 and thats not the correct connector.
