Re: Why upgrading to an EVO when you're not in a 4G Market is a waste of money

I don't have 4g and probably will not get it in a long time since i live in Louisiana...they usually get EVERYTHING last..I'll still get the phone because it's a badass phone...people do have the option not to buy the phone..it's not like sprint is forcing you to buy the phone..the same would apply to anything like buying cars...I could drive a civic but I chose to buy a bmw...both basically does the same thing getting me from point A to point B, but I paid extra for the added premium like the driving experince and luxury features...

IMO $199 is for "cheap schmucks." Make the phone cost $449 with no exceptions then we can brag about "pay to play"

Where did you get the January 2011 4G date from for NYC? You're wayyyyy off there. It's starting up in Flushing right now, and should be hot city-wide by Sept/Oct at the latest.

Re: Why upgrading to an EVO when you're not in a 4G Market is a waste of money

You know what guys?! I love this thread......absolutely LOVE IT! You wanna know why?!

1)

Right?! So first off...on a minor point....name one smartphone that has GOOD battery life....one where you're gonna be doing all the things you would be doing on any other smartphone that wouldn't drain the any other smartphones battery?!?!?!?!

On a major point......nobody is asking you to buy the phone......just as in the same way nobody is asking for the device to constantly pull data.....it was made that way.....its different.....so bash the phone for its differences...good idea!

And like it's been stated a millions times before.........Verizon and AT&T both have Hollywood priced plans for their smartphones.......instead of complaining just go to them and pay their prices.....and see how you like it than!

2) This thread kinda backfired on you sanjsrik.....and YES....we have enough threads....on top of threads about stuff not related to the $10 charge where people are still discussing the charge...with people bashing the phone because of the $10 charge! So now you have a thread full of humble, moderate and compromising people who either don't care about the charge...see the phone being "too sweet" to even think about not getting because of the charge...or is in disagreement with the charge and still getting the phone because the plan still is cheaper! Nice Job Buddie!

3) Most of the people who posted in this thread are SO understanding....because even the ones who don't agree with the charge still aren't bashing the phone....or Sprint!

My point to you sanjsrik.........there's a $10 add-on if you wanna use a EVO 4G......deal with it bud!

Just my observations.
