Well every windows phone I have ever owned all had some sort of d-pad. When I got my tp2 it took a little bit of time to get use to not having a d-pad but since then I haven't even thought about it at all.

I remember I really missed having the scroll wheel on my Mogul, but I got used to it on the TP, then I switched to the TP2 and missed having the d-pad, but got used to it. Looking back on all those phones, I could definitely live without a d-pad/scrollball, especially since dpads just eat up screen real estate.

I won't miss the d-pad or scroll bar... that's what pinch zoom is for
