Just pre-ordered my EVO 4G today at Radio shack after readying this form! i AM so excited, cant wait to have it.
I went to best buy first but they open an hour later and im leaving the 4th for the keys for my GF bday! (too bad ima be soo consumed by my phone im not going to pay any attention to her the whole weekend.. guess i should have prob waited until returning to buy it!) Thanks soo much guys. lots of good info on this page from multiple users and its been a while since ive had a phone and could return to PPCGEEKS!

I've been getting mixed answers on this when I call best buy so I hope someone here can answer... I pre-ordered my Evo at best buy on Friday. Every one is anticipating that they will sell out... here is what im worried about. some people are saying that a pre order wont guarantee that they will hold one for me but then its like well why take a pre order? on Friday june 4 (a day that will live in infamy) i wont get off of work until 3:30pm I can only assume that by then they will be sold out at my local best buy....
so???? can anyone confirm rather or not my pre order will guarantee them holding it for me until i get there?

Hahaha, I pre ordered at radio shack. They said though I paid for a deposit, if I dont come by 6/5, they will give away my phone. He then went on saying how popular the phone is and how 100 people call a day asking about it.
I then ask how many people pre-ordered. He said Im #3! LOL

@Brivers73 yeah i heard that too some people say 2 days some people say one day some people say they will give me a ticket and when my number is called i can buy it <---WTF??
@aman1127 LOL number 3? with 100's of people calling each day? wow! I bet the extra $10/mo turned a lot of people off!
