Google just buys companies that grow big with ideas, then they plop their name all over it.. surprised they didn't rename android GoogleOS.

Yes, they did not technically "invent" Android, but they bought the Android company in 2005 and the developers now work for Google. Therefore, it is still a Google product, and they very much have their hands in it.

This is nothing new in the computing industry. Bill Gates didn't code DOS either.
