it was a sprint rep who told me and yes i know a lil off from the june 6 date we've been thinking

Radio Shack does Buy Back? Sprint store told me 82 bucks but that I had to use it for accessories.. Sprint themselves said each store is different. I have a chip on the side of mine but it works fine so I am leary about selling it on ebay or craigs list.. But I'll take 142 if I can get it. I was only gonna sell mine for a 100 cause of this chip but now I am debating what to do. I'll call my Radio Shack tomorrow.

and btw, the trade in program is crap, you can get 200-250 cash from ebay or local classifieds, the 142 they'll give you is way under priced

So Best Buy is supposedly starting pre-orders this Thursday. Speculation of course!

I will try to confirm this by going to Best Buy later today to pry more information.

From the Sprint training material it shows it has a digital compass. So.... how is this usesful? Not slamming it. Just curious what is a good use for it other than showing a girl, " Look hottie, my phone tells me that that direction is south. Can i get some?" LOL

I'm sure you're joking, but I will answer this anyway. It's very useful to know which way the phone or device is pointing for navigation.

I thought it was for when you are out in the bush camping with some friends and needed to find your way back to civilization.

When I use google maps or bing it shows you what direction your traveling. Compass might tell you what direction your pointing standing still, but any other useful applications?

I bet that google maps will have a moving street view that changes perspective based on phones direction. I was very glad to see a compass was included.
