I did the same thing. Only thing I don't like is the photo gallery and I was a die hard htc girl.

Re: HTC Evo LTE or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and why? Go!!

Personally I would stick with HTC. I had the option of the Note II or the LTE, and while yes, the 5.5" screen on the LTE is tempting, that is about the only thing ANY samsung device has that would make me want one.

I find that Sense is an overall better UI than TouchWiz and as far as Hardware goes, 1.5GHz to 1.6GHz is not enough of a jump for me to personally be able to justify the horrible TouchWiz UI.

However if it is just about having "The Best" thing out (If even by only 100MHz) then by all means, go for it, but as far as reliability and stability goes, the LTE is where you want to be.

Having had both phones at this point now.... I can say that I do still prefer the Sense ui because I had years on it and I know it better, but touch wiz isn't bad. It's just different and I'm enjoying it.

I'm finding the note 2 holds signal better for both mobile data and wifi better than my Evo lte did. It is faster than my evo lte was, not by much but it is.

The dictation to text on the note 2 is better. The camera has better features on the note 2. The battery lasts longer on the note 2.

I was afraid the note 2 would feel awkward in my hand and it doesn't. It just feels more secure.

I like the blocking feature and smart stay, but that is software and you could most likely find an app for those for the evo lte.

I really liked my evo lte and wasn't going to upgrade at all, but my daughter lost her epic... my husband wanted lte and she wanted his 3d.... so I upgraded and we all swapped phones. I don't regret it. Honestly pondering using my Jan upgrade to get this phone in gray for my hubby and letting my oldest daughter have the evo lte.

Re: HTC Evo LTE or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and why? Go!!

Is there a forum for the note 2? I came from verizon with a razor Maxx, and so far I love the note 2. My wife still has a maxx and the note runs 3 times faster, but that may be the at&t service that is faster, but seems faster on wifi as well.

The problem is I have a few questions about the new note2, so a forum dedicated to the note 2 would be awesome.

Hey the nore2. Most amazing phone I have put my hands on. Plus htc is cracking down on custom roms now. They are going apple crazy. Note runs circles on any device in the market. I'm running it at 1.8ghz and still get 12 hours on moderate use

My next phone will be Samsung. My current 4G LTe is bricked (the phone being bricked has nothing to do with it being HTC), and if I cannot get it replaced I will say byebye to HTC for now. I have been too loyal to HTC with nothing to really show for it. It's time to try something new. I will go with the Note 2.

Note for me. After seeing HTC once again attacking the dev community I'm done. I've had HTC phones since '07 and my 3D will be the last.

Re: HTC Evo LTE or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and why? Go!!

I've had my EVO 4G LTE for a few days now and I gotta say I F'in absolutely love it! Granted I'm a hardcore HTC fan, but Sense has been and still remains the best phone UI I've ever seen. Despite HTC's attitude of late, their UI is phenomenal and and remarkably geared toward the individual user.

If the day comes when I can't do anything to mod my phone, then maybe I'll leave HTC. But for the moment, my 4G LTE on the latest OTA is rooted/unlocked and S-Off'ed, so I'm good.

Re: HTC Evo LTE or Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and why? Go!!

In regards to specs, the Note 2 wins hands down.
In regards to loyalties , the Evo Wins hands down
In regards to User Interface, i cant stand touchwiz so it would be the Evo again (although I will say Samsung has got some great gesture operations!)
In regards to size the evo wins again.
But.....
If I can put Sense on a Note 2 it would be awesome lol just based on specs.
