I loved the original EVO the only reason I got the 3d was because I was an advocate and I was impressed with a dual core processor, now the elte is my fave I'm loving ics, the screen resolution is far superior to the previous evos and the new sense is beautiful so I would say go for the EVO LTE

Re: HTC EVO 3D vs EVO LTE
I've been wondering the same. I also have an E3D, but I haven't been having any problems with it. However, i just feel ready for a change. The only thing stopping me is the fact that I can take my laptop anywhere, and use my E3D as a hotspot. Far as I can tell, unless you have LTE in your area (which I don't...STL), this feature is gone.
What to do, what to do....

I just use FoxFi on my Elte... Works without issue...
And thanks OMJ, I was wondering about hotspot and LTE - if and when it comes to Metro Detroit.. (we never even got WiMAX)

I own all 4 EVO models and yes the EVO LTE is beast of a phone. I came from the E3D got EVO LTE on the 20th I was waiting for the release of the White Evo LTE on the 15th . And I unlocked the bootloader via HTC-dev and rooted 2 days ago. I am happy with my decision..

As far as the original question: I got mine on Friday. It's a nice improvement, the camera is great, especially continious shot. But honestly if you have a rooted 3D, you can get all the new software on the 3D. I had ICS and Sense 4.0 on my 3D. You'll notice minor improvements, but unless you're a spec whore(as I am) it may not be worth it |
