Anyone used NFC, GWallet/PayPal?

Until GW gets their EVO LTE specific error resolved, here's the workaround solution:


FIX for google wallet activating - xda-developers

1) Change your device ID in your build.prop file to reflect the following
-ro.product.model=GT-I9300
ro.product.device=GT-I9300
2) Reset Google Wallet
3) Reboot and re-enter your info in the Google Wallet app
4) Add your prepaid card

well last week I was stuck on "initializing", but after the update, it's now stuck on "activating". Once I made it past but got the "error adding card"

I did get a chance to make a purchase yesterday....I was looking on the list of NFC phones, and saw my 8 yr old son's Nexus S (wifi only, bad esn phone) on the list, I created a account, got the $10, then took the kids to McDonalds for ice cream it's pretty slick, though the cashier had no idea what I was doing, lol.

After 3 weeks i finally made it. working good now!!!

My mistake was: there is 2 line with "ro.pruduct.model=EVO" and the other is "ro.product.model=htc_jewel".

so i was changing the one with "htc_jewel" and never work.

so just change the one with "EVO" for "GT-I9300" and course the "ro.product.device=jewel" too.

after get you card add. put back "EVO". but not the device.
i have 2 day, and no problem at all!!

I got the error msg in Wallet about "Not Supported, G Wallet has not been certified in your country, etc"

I read the FAQ that you have to clear some settings before you root n flash.

So I do I get it to clear the setting?

Google shut it down on their end. Supposed to get it back up and running.

no, must be rooted at minimum....to flash either of these zips, u need a custom recovery. if only rooted, you could push the files.
