2nd link is 33.95 now (coupon is dead) and they both charge tax in California FYI.

I'm going for the Wintec one I think.

If I'm not mistaken, the phone comes with just a class 2 chip, right? If so, is there really any advantage to getting a higher class one to replace it with? I'm curious as I'm also looking at installing a bigger chip. I don't mind paying extra for the higher class IF there is some advantage to do doing it. No sense wasting money if the Evo can't utilize higher than Class 2, you know?

faster reading of videos/music/apps.. some have noticed considerable advantages, i havent. i've had 16gb class 6 and now a 32gb class 2.

no real problems..just writing to the bigger card takes a bit longer. IMO even longer if you transfer them to the phone rather than taking the card out and using a card reader

Re: 16Gb MicroSD cards class 6 or class 10 ~ $29

no way the stock chip is class 2, I usually get 4+mb/s transfer.

I like this deal myself, when it comes back in stock.

Newegg.com - Patriot LX Series 16GB Micro SDHC Flash Card Model PSF16GMCSDHC10 (16GB)

Patriot LX Series 16GB Micro SDHC
class 10
assumedly more reliable then the wintek
$40 shipped.

According to Wikipedia and other threads on the forums I've read, it does indeed come with a Class 2 installed.

I have a sandisk class 4 that came with my white evo i bought at best buy on 11/29 hard ware 003... i did not use it cause i put a class 6 transcend that was in my tp2... i think you would need a higher class than 4 for apps2sd to work better and be able to play hd movies
